Barbara Burgess

Barbara Burgess ~ Wellington

Barbara is a registered nurse who worked full time for 37 years as a psychiatric nurse clinician for Hamilton Health Sciences. She was mainly based at the McMaster University Medical Centre Site where her work experience included In-Patient Psychiatry, Out-Patient Psychiatry, and Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry. For two years prior to retirement, she was the mental health nurse at the Juravinski Cancer Centre.

Barbara retired in June, 2006 and moved from the Hamilton area to Prince Edward County. In January 2007, she was given the opportunity to serve as a member of the board for Mental Health Services Hastings-Prince Edward Corporation. She was elected board chair in June 2008.

Linda Tarle

Lynda Tarle ~ Belleville

Growing up in an Air Force family, Lynda spent the majority of her childhood in the Quinte region, living in Trenton, Carrying Place and Belleville.   She and her husband Peter returned to the area in 1981 to raise their two children. 

Lynda has a background in accounting, education and quality and environmental engineering management.  She has served on several local boards and has been active with the Family Support Network under the umbrella of MHSHPE, previously serving as chair of that group.   Lynda joined the board of MHSHPE in 2007 and is currently Chair of the Governance Committee.

 

Patricia Ward ~ Prince Edward County

A Certified General Accountant (CGA) since 1997, Patricia has worked in public practice, manufacturing and currently corporate accounting for Stream International.  For 10 years she was a member of the Board of Directors for CGA Ontario Belleville Chapter, serving as chair for fiscal years 2006/2007 and 2008/2009.  She continues to invigilate exams, providing support to students in the program.  A graduate of Loyalist College’s Accounting program in 1992, Patricia is a strong supporter of continuing education no matter what age, education, career, experience or path is taken. While attending Loyalist College she was also peer tutor and member of the Accounting Advisory Committee.

She moved to Prince Edward County with her husband in 1986 and they have raised two daughters who have both chosen careers in health care.  She was also involved in many aspects of volunteer work for PEC Figure Skating Club, Wellington Skating Club, Trenton Skating Club and Belleville Skating Club for over 10 years. 

Patricia joined the board of MHS-HPE in 2010 and is currently Chair of the Finance/Human Resource Committee.

Gary Rorabeck

Gary Rorabeck ~ Belleville

Gary was born in Picton and was a member of the Junior Farmers club. He was involved in farming, livestock, and trucking until 1970.

Gary began in Real Estate and Morgages from the early 1970s and has been helping area residents with their real estate and mortgage needs. He moved to Belleville in 2009 and works out of his home/office, continuing as a licensed Real Estate and Mortgage Broker (Lic.# 11026).

He is a current member of Hastings Park Bible Church and the Belleville Shriners Club.

Susan O'Brien

Susan O'Brien ~ Belleville

A registered nurse employed by Nicholson Catholic College and a member of the following boards: Belleville General Hospital, Belleville YMCA , Plainfield Children's Home, the Prince Edward Hastings Federal Liberal Association, the Prince Edward Hastings Provincial Liberal Association, and the Riverfront Trail Fundraising Board. She is also a Bridge to Bridge Board member.

Susan has been a board member with MHS for 3 years now. Her hopes for the future of the mental health system: Looking forward to a positive attitude from the community, as well as the community working together for inclusion of all its citizents. Dignity for all. People helping people.

Joan Greenwood ~ Belleville

Joan is a CHRP (Certified Human Resource Professional) with over 35 years' experience in business and human resource management. Joan comes from a varied background having commenced her career at Ontario Hydro, owning and operating a family business, working for Xerox Research for a number of years and, most recently, in her current role as Director of Human Resources at Community Living Belleville and Area (formerly Plainfield Community Homes) where she has been employed for the past 28 years.

Joan is also a Certified Office Administrator and a graduate of the Business Administration Program at Sheridan College and the Human Resources Program at Loyalist College. Joan taught for a couple of years at Loyalist College in their Continuing Education Program specializing in office technology and business.

Joan's particular areas of expertise are in labor relations in unionized environments, human resources policy development, employment benefit strategies, on-site disciplinary investigations, and performance management system development. Joan is also the sole proprietor of a private human resource consultancy, H.R. Mosaic, which she operates in conjunction with her full-time position at Plainfield Community Homes.

Joan is an active community volunteer and has served on the Board of the Community Legal & Advocacy Clinic and is a member of the Board of Directors of HRPA, Quinte currently serving as Secretary.
