Barbara Burgess

Barbara Burgess ~ Wellington

Barbara is a registered nurse who worked full time for 37 years as a psychiatric nurse clinician for Hamilton Health Sciences. She was mainly based at the McMaster University Medical Centre Site where her work experience included In-Patient Psychiatry, Out-Patient Psychiatry, and Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry. For two years prior to retirement, she was the mental health nurse at the Juravinski Cancer Centre.

Barbara retired in June, 2006 and moved from the Hamilton area to Prince Edward County. In January 2007, she was given the opportunity to serve as a member of the board for Mental Health Services Hastings-Prince Edward Corporation. She was elected board chair in June 2008.

Clifford M. Dell

Clifford M. Dell ~ Belleville

Clifford has been volunteering for several years. He is presently on the board of directors for Mental Health Services - HPEC. He has served in the past on the boards for CMHP, Addiction Services, and Serenity House, and is a past president of the Bay of Quinte Country Club. Clifford is very involved in local and provincial soccer.

Gary Rorabeck ~ Picton

Gary was born in Picton and was a member of the Junior Farmers club. He was involved in farming, livestock, and trucking until 1970.

Gary is a licensed Real Estate Salesman and Broker. Property Appraiser, General Insurance, and Mortgage Brokering.

He is an Elder as St. Andrews Presbyterian Church as well as a member of the Kiwanis Club and the Belleville Shriners Club.

Susan O'Brien

Susan O'Brien ~ Belleville

A registered nurse employed by Nicholson Catholic College and a member of the following boards: Belleville General Hospital, Belleville YMCA , Plainfield Children's Home, the Prince Edward Hastings Federal Liberal Association, the Prince Edward Hastings Provincial Liberal Association, and the Riverfront Trail Fundraising Board. She is also a Bridge to Bridge Board member.

Susan has been a board member with MHS for 3 years now. Her hopes for the future of the mental health system: Looking forward to a positive attitude from the community, as well as the community working together for inclusion of all its citizents. Dignity for all. People helping people.

Janice Alexander

Janice Alexander ~ Belleville

With an employment background in print and radio journalism as well as real estate and marketing, Janice has been an active volunteer for many years. Much of her volunteer experience has centred on improving the delivery of mental health services. She chaired the Consumer Advisory Council and the Mood Disorders Advisory Committee of the Royal Ottawa Hospital and was a member of the Ottawa Mobile Crisis Intervention Unit Implementation Task Force.  She served as a member of the Champlain District Mental Health Implementation Task Force and was a member of the CDMHITF Governance Committee. While living in Ottawa she took part in the inaugural class of the Leadership Ottawa, a program designed to develop community leadership skills, improve cross sector understanding and enhance awareness of governance issues. 

Janice returned to the Hastings Prince Edward area in 2002 and joined the board of the Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Treatment and Education Centre Inc. in Belleville.  Janice was invited to join the Board of Mental Health Services Hastings and Prince Edward Corporation at it’s inception in 2003.   She is currently Vice-Chair.

Bob Wonch

Bob Wonch ~ Belleville

Bob is a Kingston native by birth, but he's a country outdoorsman at heart. He moved to the Belleville area after having spent the last two and a half years with TD Canada Trust up north in Temiskaming Shores.

For the past twenty years, he has been with TD Canada Trust, and is currently the manager of Belleville's downtown branch on Front and Bridge Street. Bob brings his small-town attitude and friendliness to the city.

Belleville is indeed the Friendly City. Bob and his wife, Cynthia, are glad to have their young family of three little girls here, close to family, close to all the Reid's Dairy shakes they could ever want, and of course, the jewel of all public biking/hiking trails: The Quinte Trail.

Bob joined the Board in January 2009.

Linda Tarle

Linda Tarle ~ Belleville

Growing up in an Air Force family, Lynda spent the majority of her childhood in the Quinte region, living in Trenton, Carrying Place and Belleville.   She and her husband Peter returned to the area in 1981 to raise their two children. 

Lynda has a background in accounting, education and quality and environmental engineering management.  She has served on several local boards and has been active with the Family Support Network under the umbrella of MHSHPE, previously serving as chair of that group.   Lynda joined the board of MHSHPE in 2007 and is currently Chair of the Governance Committee.
